Difference between the appointed date and actual start date
Can you please clarify the difference between the appointed date and actual start date? I have someone who was appointed to fill a vacancy on April 7, 2025. So he actually starts his term on the same date. Should these dates match?
The Appointed date is the day you learn the member will eventually be in that seat. It is usually the day the person is elected or appointed, but can also be the day they are sworn in / oath of office, etc. The Actual Start date is the first day the member is in that seat.
The appointed date is not a required field so it is up to you if you want to use it for your records

The board seat will remain shown as active until the day after the end date then the seat will show as vacant. You can fill the seat in advance as well putting the same date under Actual Start.Term Date Changes
