Add Date Exception (terms cannot begin or end on a holiday)

Connecticut Justice of the Peace boards can now be set so terms never begin or end on a holiday. OnBoardGOV has been updated to address this issue using an Add Date Exception function for any Nth Day term types. To update seats and add the exception, follow the instructions below.

In your Admin Dashboard, click Manage on the Justice of the Peace board (and any other board to which this exception applies).
Use the drop-down menu for the seat and select Edit Seat.
Edit Seat Add Date Exception

Click the Red Lock icon to unlock the seat definitions and you will be able to click the new Add Date Exception button.
Add Date Exception Button

Select the Exception date: which defaults to the January 1 holiday you need to skip. Use the drop-down menu for Move to: and select the appropriate choice for the term to begin, which I believe is Next day, pushing the start (and end) date to January 2 in any year Monday is January 1. Now click +Add to add the exception to that seat.

Add Date Exception +Add

You will then see the small box next to the Add Date Exception button that describes the exception and has a red trash icon, which can be used to delete the exception. Hit Submit and the seat update is complete.

Terms that would be calculated to begin and end on January 1 will now be automatically adjusted by OnBoardGOV for the next term. If you have terms that currently show an end date of 1/1/2029 and want that date to be corrected immediately, you must delete the appointment and then fill the seat again after adding the date exception.
