Non-Public custom documents in boards

Custom document in board

I have a copy of the by-laws for one of my committees that I would like to store electronically with their respective board. Could you walk me through how to attach it in a way that keeps it internal and not visible to the public?

You can add By-Laws or any other document to a board and make it visible to the public or not.

First you need to add a custom upload field under Settings-> Configure Board Fields and choose Additional Information.

Then under one of the Custom Upload Fields label the document you want to place on the board and click the Enabled and the Visible to Public box if you want it on the public side. Once you fill in the label click save to save the settings.

When go the board you want to add the document to and click on Edit Board. Then down under the fields you will see a box for the document. Click on the Browse button and select the file. (You can use either a PDF for Word document). When click Save to save the document.

You will now see the document available to download on the main board page. If there is no document in this field you will not see a label on the board page.
