Removing future appointment
We have a member that was appointed to a seat on a board and was due to start next week but decided today not to serve. How do I remove him from the board before he starts to serve as the board shows that the seat is still vacant?
The seat appears vacant because the member’s term is in the future but the appointment is still there listed in seat history.
If you wish to remove his appointment from the board all you need to do is to right click on Actions and choose Delete Latest Appt. This will permanently remove the appointment from your records.
The seat still vacant the appointment has been removed from the board.

You added the seat, but while OnBoardGOV allows you to change the seat information, it only applies to a seat that is empty. The way to correct this is to delete the appointment and then the term of the seat will automatically change. Then you can ...Update an incorrect term (to display the correct term immediately)
To fix an incorrect term and have the correct term display immediately, you need to delete the appointment, update the term definition, then put the person back in the seat. Go to the board and use the Actions menu for the seat, and select Delete ...
