SSO Password creation (SSO Admins)

SSO Password creation (SSO Admins)

SSO Admins:

Up until today, SSO Users were automatically assigned a password when an account was created. This enabled them to possibly circumvent the SSO login process.

Newly created clients will no longer be generating a password (if provisioned at sign-in) and will not require a password if provisioned in advance.

However, you may want to clean up the current passwords. Looking at your manage users page, you will see that you have a new column showing who has a password.

NOTE: As a Municipal Administrator, you can only EDIT a Municipal User. If you would like to remove passwords from Municipal Administrator accounts, please reach out to support (onboardgov@clerkbase.com) as we manage the Municipal Admin accounts.

When you check “Delete existing password” and scroll down to save, the user will not be able to add a password to their account.
