How to Fill Seat when application is marked as Appointed
Mark as Appointed which simply
changes the status of the application from ‘pending’ to ‘appointed’.
If the board had a vacancy and
you looked at the applications, there would be an option to fill the seat .
If there were only expired and filled
seats, that Fill Seat button would not be there.
In Settings/Board Application
Statuses, you can create different statuses to be given to an applicant.
They can be “hidden” or not. Hidden means that you don’t need to
look at the application on a regular basis because it’s not active.
On the board screen, there is a
link to view the hidden applications. There you will see that
“appointed” status applications and you can simply manage the application and
change the status back to ‘pending’.

Under Manage Applications you will see the received application. Click on View and then if you see that everything is in order with this application make note of what Board and/or Seat that the applicant is applying for you click on Validate to ...We have a board member who is giving notice of his resignation several months in advance. The board seat will remain shown as active until the day after the end date then the seat will show as vacant. You can fill the seat in advance as well putting the same date under Actual Start.
